The TADA! (Teens Against Domestic Abuse) project kicked off in January, 2007 to raise awareness among teens; create an opportunity for teens to socialize in a peer setting; educate teens on where to go for help and how to assist their peers and family members; and encourage teens to promote awareness in their schools, churches and communities. Teens attended a family violence awareness seminar in February and were eligible to participate in their first social, Skate for Hope, a skating party. The girls participated in a family violence awareness mall scavenger hunt last fall.
Meetings are at 3 p.m. every second Saturday at Loving Fellowship Baptist Church, 602 W. Wheatland Road in Duncanville.
